He's using Eggman as a way to insult them, without deliberately insulting them to their faces. The above little speech is also total bull since Ivo and Eggman are the same person, but I think the feeling fits because it also reflects what I think Ivo's view of Vought and Supes in general as a result of Vought's artificial celebrity status for them would be. And when I'm done? The only thing you'll be is a laughing stock. I'm not wasting advanced tech on making a public embarrassment of myself. That's what I'm gonna do, you know? I'm gonna take everything you break, and make it better, because I can do it. What's really impressive, though, is fixing that building, making it better, and doing it in such a way that it shows EVERYONE what a tiny, selfish, stupid little idiot they were.
Destruction? Mayhem? Where's the fun in that? Any schlock jock with a temper problem can smash up a building. Ivo: Listen, Eggy, can I call you Eggy? Ya see, the difference between you and me, besides the obvious, is that, when it comes right down to it? You are BORING. I could see Ivo more as saying something along the lines of finding Eggman's use of science for feeding his own ego and causing destruction "boring" because it utterly defeats the purpose of science, to learn and understand.
